Corax^® personal protection hard plates by Elet.Ca use advanced composite materials and can be employed either as vests or as stand-alone plates in other military or civilian applications. The use of innovative aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) compounds on the strike face and of different compositions in the backing allow for multi-hit resistance compared to boron carbide plates – up to level IV according to NIJ norms – while maintaining lower weight compared to traditional ceramic panels.
